Partnership Announcement: SafeCare B.C. and Canadian Mental Health Association

November 14, 2022by Carissa Harrison in Announcements

CheckingIn is proud to announce a new tripartite agreement with SafeCare BC and the Canadian Mental Health Association BC division.

We will be working alongside these organizations to create a lived-experience podcast for the Care for Caregivers program.

Founded in 1952, the Canadian Mental Health Association BC is the most established and extensive community mental health organization in British Columbia.

SafeCare BC is an industry-funded, non-profit association working to ensure safe, injury-free working conditions for continuing care workers in BC.

The Care for Caregivers program provides a diverse collection of quick and easy resources to support the mental health of those in the continuing care sector, including resources and targeted support for COVID-19-related mental health stressors. Care for Caregivers is proudly supported by the BC Ministry of Mental Health and Addictions.

The goals of this collaboration are to:
- Reduce stigma
- Support individual healthcare workers

CheckingIn is grateful for the partnership with SafeCare BC and CMHA BC and is eager to support those caregivers who have been such a critical part of our COVID-19 response.
